My first synth. Bought it in '86, right after I moved into my first place. It was a floor model at a local music store, so I got a good deal on it. There was no box, so I had to carry this beast au-natural on the bus home; got some interesting looks. Had a ball with that thing.

It was my first synthesizer (in 1990 !). I got it very cheaply from my music dealer as a used instrument. The only synth I could afford as a teenager! Although it was very limited, I found useful sounds/combinations and used them in many songs back then. 2 years later I bought a MS-20 and a Micromoog and finaly sold the Micropreset. Never missed it since then - but now I have one again for nostalgic reasons and to recreate my old songs faithfully ;-)

I had one of those when I was a kid. It's every bit as noisy with keyboard clacking and electric blower as I remember it that it was. That's part of the charm. Just yesterday I ordered a vintage 391 from eBay. I'm looking forward to reliving my childhood memories!

I am unimpressed with 97% of the sounds on my Juno DS 61. Got the board for 500 this past spring of 2024 from a close friend that barely played it. I've been exploring the idea of another board... maybe something old, maybe a CK61 (or CK88 if I got the money some time)... I just find my Juno SCATTERS good sounds so deep... it's a mess... like someone chose the order by rolling some dice and tossing everything randomly together. SO frustrating, among other frustrations and limitations. So I'm randomly just looking at other videos. Saw one of these Triton Le come up for 450 CAD. That seems pricey considering I got a barely used Juno DS61 for 500 CAD. I have fun with the Juno, but I wish it were better in ways. Maybe I need another board. I have a DGX 220 that sounds basically as good for some instruments from 2006. But it's a pretty low end board and ancient. I have a midi controller for FL Studio as well. But I like just turning on a board and jamming.

with windows 10, somehow i cannot pre-listen the dam samples in MPC maid after i dragged them on the virtuel pads. shiddy tool does not work properly^^

I know this is old, but in this configuration, are you still able to sequence the bass stations internal sound? Or do you have to sacrifice it?

dang, i forgot those racks were 16 part multitimbral! Are you able to record each part into a different track on the MPC? That set up seems like a nice way to build up some tracks! Does the bass station allow you to midi CC a lot of the ckntrols on the emu rack?
